How Do I Care for My Crager Wheels?

In a cragar wheels Chrome, the same things or rules applies for crager chrome plated wheels as for wheels with a painted finish. cragar wheels CChrome plating is more delicate and it does require a lot of care. You may wish to clean and wax them more often. Be better sure not to use any abrasive chrome polishes because this could scratch the chrome plating. If you happen to live in a climate where road salts are used in the winter months, I recommend that you remove your plated wheels during this season or time. cragar wheels Chrome plated will rapidly pit and become cloudy when exposed to road salt for any extended period as the salt contains chemicals which breaks down the finish on this type of wheel. I love Crager Wheels... and I really love driving it.... now that i have already a cragar wheels, which is not a brand new one. You know what..... my father's told to me, now that you have your own car now, you have to learn how to use it well and learn how to take care of it..... It is not enough that you have a car just to be accessible in all places that you want to go....

To share one of my experience as i go along having a cragar wheels is how to measure my blot patter? and it has a 5-blot pattern. Measuring a 5-bolt pattern is very difficult to do without using the a bolt pattern gauge. Basically you would measure the diameter of a circle that crosses through the center of the lug holes.... My father told me that this method is not recommended to confirm wheel fitment....

Aside from the 5-bolt pattern of cragar wheels, measuring also the 4, 6 and 8 bolt, you measured from the center of one lug hole to the center of the opposite hole.

As a very fond of crager wheels I have some informations for everyone. How do i care for my cragar wheels so that it will always keep good looking, i used soap and clean water to clean it and once a month I use a no abrasive car wax on them.

Since all cragar wheels are a lug centric i used to balance a unilug through out the lug nut holes. Remember Crager S/S do not fit to a 6-lug truck as it would have a 6 spokes. S/S is only made in rear wheels drive remember that.

People sometimes ask how do i measure the bolt pattern of cragar wheels, and my tips is on a five lug pattern you measure from the center of one stud, skip a stud and to the far side of the third stud.. Got it? it so easy...

I have also an idea of backspacing which is usually ask by the customer who are fond loving also of cragar wheels. Backspacing is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheels, which contacts the hub, to the back rim flange.
